Haughley Pre-School

Admissions Policy

Haughley Pre-School is open to all families in the local community. In order to ensure a fair system, we:

• Arrange a waiting list in order of date of birth,
• Comply with an Equal-Opportunities Policy.

We accept children between the ages of 2½ and 5 years, but also operate a rising-threes programme (dependant on any waiting list and the Play Supervisor's discretion). For further clarification on when an under-three can start, and whether he/she would initially be required to be accompanied by a parent or carer throughout the whole session, please speak to one of our staff. Parents with older children starting at the Pre-School are also welcome to stay with their child in order to settle them in.

Children who are attending Crawford's CEVCP School part-time are also welcome to attend Pre-School Plus (Lunchclub), where we share a packed lunch together and run a variety of activities that are more tailored to this age range. A member of our staff will collect your child from Crawfords school at 12:00, this is arranged in co-ordination with the school.

We run a morning and an afternoon session for Pre-School children. We also provide a one hour lunch session. In addition to this, we run an afternoon session for children attending part time at Haughley Crawford's school. Children from Haughley Crawford's may also join our Lunch session. All children aged 2½ to 5 are welcome to attend

Please note that in event of a late collection, fees will be charged at rate of £1.50 per 15 minutes.

PLEASE REMEMBER

1) Your child could attend any combination of morning or afternoon sessions.

2) Your child could attend any combination of morning or afternoon sessions plus lunch.

3) Your child could stay from 9.30-3.30, you will pay £2.60 for lunch and you would have used two funded places out of five

If you would like your child to attend any additional session or stay for lunch then this would be charged at the above rates for pre-school children.

If your child w0uld like to attend our afternoon session or Lunch once they have started attending part time at Haughley Crawford's, the session times and prices will be as follows:

We are only legally responsible for your child between these times, so request that you do not leave your children earlier or later then these times. Please inform staff if a different adult is to collect your child at the end of the session, and ensure that you sign the collections book

 

We issue invoices on the first day of each term and offer the two methods of payment detailed below;

1. Half termly in advance. Payment is due within 7 days of receipt of the invoice.

2. Weekly in advance. Payment is due on the child's first session of each week.

Special arrangements or other payment terms may be available on request, please speak to a member of staff. We appreciate prompt payments, as we run to an extremely tight budget. Due to increased bank charges, any fees for returned cheques will be passed back to the payer.

Please speak to a member of staff if your child qualifies for funding for three-year-olds.

Please note that you pay for the space, not the attendance, so missed sessions are still to be paid for. Exceptions are only for contagious diseases (measles, chickenpox etc) when the child must stay at home. If your child contracts a contagious disease, please inform the Pre-School as soon as possible so appropriate action can be taken. No charge will be made if a child is confined to hospital.

Please also note that we review our fees on an annual basis.
